Kota Kinabalu : Entry points into the State Capital of Sabah

Kota Kinabalu (also known simply as 'K.K') is the state capital of Sabah. It is located on the northwest coast of Borneo facing the South China Sea. I believe you would have known the location of Kota Kinabalu before you visit my page here because I feel kind of stupid explaining , if not, please refer here.

Travelling back to wife's hometown: Lahad Datu

Both me and my wife have agreed that every year, both of us will have to go back to our hometown together at least once a year. The timing will be for mine, during the Chinese New Year (normally beginning of the year) and for hers, during the Harvest Festival (mid-year). The Harvest Festival is celebrated by the indigenous people of Sabah and Sarawak and basically to mark the harvesting of rice. Not that my wife is an indigenous people, she's Malaysian Chinese just like me. It's just that we get 2 public holidays on this occasion.

I will start to blog about Borneo, known as the third largest island in the world but this will only be touching about the two states of Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. I will share with you the following:

Christmas event at Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu

Christmas is just around the corner. After dinner together with my wife just now, we had a brief walk at Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu where there was an event going on.
